Tonight as Liverpool face Stoke in the 2nd leg of the League Cup a special flag will make its debut on the Anfield Kop.
The flag has been produced in tribute to Owen McVeigh, an 11 year old LFC fan who tragically passed away recently after a battle with Leukaemia.
Huge LFC fans, Owen and his Dad supported the Reds home and away, having attended all home games at Anfield since the age of 5.
The flag has been created by ‘Friends of the 23 Foundation’, the Spion Kop 1906 after talking to Owens father Mark.
Hier bei der 23 Foundation, we think the flag is a truly special tribute to a truly special young man and we look forward to seeing the flag flying high in the Kop this evening.
Our thoughts are with the McVeigh family at this time.
Rest In Peace Owen – Du wirst nie alleine laufen.
